The story behind Truly Free is unique. The concept was realized because of a serious medical condition. My wife had been suffering from tension headaches. She had this condition all day long, for well over a year, with the intensity increasing so much that her quality of life had been diminished to being bedridden and always on prescription drugs.
My wife is a health nut. Unfortunately, she found out she was allergic to gluten AND dairy. Being lactose intolerant I could relate to her situation. We do like our occasional sweets, and I searched everywhere to find food that would meet our specific allergies, but to no avail.
Through some experimental baking, I came across a way to provide cakes, cookies, and all sorts of tasteful goods, that are gluten AND dairy free!!! We were so excited! Not only did they lack the ingredients that we were allergic to, but we found that they were not as high in caloric content, fat, and sugar than other counterparts or brand names. We couldn’t keep this amazing revelation to ourselves. We had to give back the treat of having sweets to those with similar food allergies. Our goal is to be able to share what we have found, and we hope that will be enough to keep our doors open for a long, long time.
Our products naturally are able to address people who want to eat healthier, those with Celiac Disease, the lactose intolerant, and those who live the vegan lifestyle.
